Essential skills

for success delivered!
EXPLORE

Our children are growing into a world where academic performance based on rote will no longer be enough to succeed, or to hold a job. Research has shown that 21st century skills like critical thinking, communication, innovation, leadership, collaboration and creativity are key for survival.

What are we doing to ensure our children are equipped with these skills for success?

EXPLORE focuses on just this! Developed by experts, and managed by star mentors, this programme is recognized as one that truly helps children build skills that are essential for success in the 21st Century. Moreover, it is built in a format that helps children develop a real joy for learning on their own. EXPLORE has even been embraced as part of the curriculum by leading schools like Sanskriti.

As part of Explore your child will develop:

• Logical reasoning and critical thinking
• Comprehension and the ability to self learn
• Creativity and innovation
• Communication – both written and verbal
• Collaboration and leadership
• Information literacy and using technology as a tool

How does Explore work?

Each EXPLORE tackles a big question such as the science behind rollercoasters, understanding political systems and its benefits, importance of teamwork, or even building a video around a concept. Children must work together in teams to research the topic, understand it, structure their thoughts and write scripts and then finally present it.

Children use materials in the centre to showcase concepts through an experiment, a play, a Power Point presentation, a video, or even through filming a documentary. In addition to developing 21st century skills, children also learn using the latest technology as a productive tool rather than as pure entertainment.

21st Century Skills

What are the skills that our children need in the 21st century? There’s been a lot of research; millions of dollars have been spent on frameworks and all signs point to similar skills. The most popular framework is one developed in the US, based on collaboration between educational experts and companies like Apple, Dell and Cisco.

21st Century Framework

We, at Think Stations, like to categorize this as the 5 C’s and Information Literacy!
